We're honored to have so many talented artists among the ranks of World of Warcraft players, and we're constantly amazed by the incredible Warcraft-themed art the community creates. We're so impressed, in fact, that this year we've decided to place some of your artwork in the 2011 Official World of Warcraft Calendar!
We're inviting players to create a piece of artwork that helps us set the tone for each month and season, using any major in-game holiday as inspiration. With Lunar Festival, Love Is in the Air, Noblegarden, Children's Week, Midsummer Fire Festival, Pirate's Day, Brewfest, Harvest Festival, Hallow's End, Day of the Dead, Pilgrim's Bounty, Feast of Winter Veil, and New Year's Eve events at your disposal, we trust you'll make this calendar special.
Our judges will select one grand prize winner to receive a set of 2010 official World of Warcraft wall, daily, and mini calendars to display in his or her workspace, office, home studio, weight room, dungeon, or lair. In addition, this outstanding artist will have his or her work featured in the 2011 Official World of Warcraft Calendar as well as the fan art section of the official World of Warcraft magazine. Winning such a contest is a hefty task indeed, so if you're wondering if we can spare anything else for such a talented person, wonder no more! The grand prize winner will also receive a Wacom Cintiq 12WX digital input tablet (the same kind used by many of our very own Blizzard Entertainment artists) to take his or her art to the next level.
Runners-up will also be published in the 2011 Official World of Warcraft Calendar and receive a set of 2010 official World of Warcraft wall, daily, and mini calendars. The contest ends February 8, 2010, so get into the spirit of your favorite in-game holiday and let your cup of creativity flow over!
