Jul 17, 2009 Laguna Art Museum VIP Benefit Dinner

From July 17 through 19, you will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to purchase tickets for the Laguna Art Museum’s 2009 VIP Benefit Dinner. The Laguna Art Museum is a non-profit American art museum with a focus on the art of California. Its current exhibit is WoW: Emergent Media Phenomenon. There will be 200 tickets available at $500.00 each, with a limit of two tickets per person.

In appreciation for your donation, you will receive:
  • Dinner and an opportunity to converse with the curator of the exhibit as well as executives, artists, developers, and community managers from Blizzard Entertainment
  • 1 BlizzCon ticket.
  • 1 signed print of Blizzard Entertainment art.

May 28, 2009 BlizzCon Tickets on Sale May 30 at 10 a.m. PDT
If you were unable to purchase BlizzCon tickets during the first round of ticket sales, we just wanted to remind you that our second batch of BlizzCon 2009 tickets will be going on sale Saturday, May 30. Ticket sales are again scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, so be sure to visit the ticket sales page then for a chance to get yours.

BlizzCon 2009 will take place August 21 and 22 at the Anaheim Convention Center, and tickets cost $125 each. For those unable to attend the show, in-depth coverage of BlizzCon will also be offered by DIRECTV as a Pay Per View event, available both via satellite and Internet stream. May 26, 2009 StarCraft Comic Contest Winners
Congratulations to the winners of May's "Vespene Laughs" Comic Contest -- and thanks to everyone for all of the humorous and creative entries we received.

To enter the current month’s contest, simply create your own original comic based on StarCraft universe, and submit your comic by June 15. The funniest and most creative will win some great prizes, including StarCraft II beta keys for the month’s best comic. May 22, 2009 Echoes of War: Standard Edition Re-release
Since its release, Echoes of War: The Music of Blizzard Entertainment has proven very popular, and the Eminence Symphony Orchestra has announced that a new re-issue of the 2-disc standard edition will be made available this spring. The album features 15 unique arrangements, with several pieces coming from the yet-to-be-released StarCraft II and Diablo III. Ninety minutes of music are featured in all, with bonus tracks arranged by special guests including the critically-acclaimed composer Kow Otani. The new standard edition package, showcasing a redesigned cover art piece, will be available in retail outlets on June 16 for $24.95, but players can pre-order it for $19.95 plus shipping. The Legendary Edition is also available for $49.95, and comes with a bonus documentary DVD, nine art cards, and a bonus 32-page booklet.
